John Rudy Park

We had a great walk at John Rudy Park this morning (August 19).  The weather was beautiful and saw great views of York city. We  stopped by a master garden and admired some stunning butterfly bushes.

The gardeners in the group particularly appreciated the work of the Penn State Master Gardeners. WOW!!  Not your average basil and tomato patch.
Six of us enjoyed a leisurely stroll thru Rudy.  Comfortable temps, low humidity and beautiful vistas.  Lisa orients us as patient Alice rests by her side.
Just what the heck is that??
A beautiful August morning in York Co.
Our next walk will be September 16 in the downtown area of York. We will meet at Salvation Army for a brief tour of their site as well as take a look at their art program. We will also visit the agricultural and industrial museum as well as walk by the rail trail down past  the York Academy and stop by Joan Fulton's neighborhood by the baseball stadium. We will also walk around some new establishments by George Street and plan to have lunch at Rockfish Public House.

In regards to our meeting time I am working on changing  to 9 AM rather than 9:30 AM. I will confirm the time a week before our walk. I am looking  forward to our next walk on September 16.
